Yesterday was a long day for us and we didn't reach the site until 7:30pm. I was tired from the hike and Mr. B from the drive, so today was a no-drive-veg-out day. Today was not without reflection though. Here's a couple equations for lessons I've learned over these past two days.
Lesson 1
- Me + (1,092'/1.5 miles) + 6,730' elevation = mild case of exercise-induced asthma
Thankfully, I didn't start wheezing until I finished the hike up to Timpanogos Cave. I recovered enough to enjoy the caves and only coughed/barked like a seal every now and again. Back on the inhaler.
Lesson 2
- Me - climb to Timpanogos Cave = tired, FORGETFUL, messy Me
Lesson 3
- (20'x10' living space)+ 2 people + 2 dogs = sh*t gets "lost"
After gutting the entire living space of its contents, I discovered that my glasses were where they were suppose to be: safely stored in an overhead bin, which just so happened to be the very last bin to be opened. Grrrrr, lesson 2.
Well, we're off to walk the dogs to Utah Lake, which is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River.
Goodnight.
I'm so glad you found them, becuase there was no sight of them here. Good thing Clancy didn't find 'em and start chompin on 'em :)
